 Credit Union 24 (ATM) The Greater Norwalk Area Credit Union, Inc. was chartered by the State of Connecticut in March of 1961 to serve the employees of the City of Norwalk. The field of membership has since expanded to a community charter serving anyone who lives, works, or worships in the City of Norwalk, or the Towns of Darien, New Canaan, Weston, Wilton and Westport. We are proud to say that today, thousands of members are taking advantage of this not-for-profit financial cooperative. They are benefiting from higher rates on deposit accounts and paying less for loans and other financial services. All shares (savings) at the credit union are insured up to $100,000 by NCUSIF (National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund). To protect against losses through fraud and mismanagement, the credit union is bonded by the CUNA Mutual Group.
